I've got a senior cat (13) who is fat (12 pounds) and this harness was a lifesaver. I probably wouldn't use this on a regular-aged cat, as with enough tossing and turning, i could see them getting out of it quite easily. It goes around their shoulders, not around their neck, which for a cat makes for an easy escape if they thrash about. But, for my situation it works great. It's easy to put on and take off and the cat doesn't mind wearing it. Any cat that you think won't try to escape the leash would probably like this leash (it's a more comfortable fit than the leashes that wrap fully around their neck).
